CHICAGO, IL – The city of Chicago recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of its beloved Arts in the Dark Halloween parade, drawing an estimated 50,000 spectators to historic State Street. The annual event, which took place on October 19th from 6-8 PM, showcased a dazzling array of creative costumes, elaborate floats, and intricate puppets, illuminating the downtown area with artistic flair. Participants paraded through the streets, featuring diverse performances ranging from dancers adorned in vibrant, skull-inspired attire reminiscent of Día de los Muertos, to large, illuminated animal-like puppets that captivated the crowds. Synchronized dance troupes in themed outfits, including a group dressed in red with 'M' logos, also added to the dynamic atmosphere. Fire-breathing floats and performers in whimsical costumes were among the many highlights.
