Perlis Drug Bust: RM13.14 Million Worth of Syabu Seized Padang Besar, Perlis – In a major blow to drug trafficking in Malaysia, police in Perlis have seized 365 kilograms of syabu, a highly addictive stimulant, with an estimated street value of RM13.14 million. The drugs were discovered hidden within a car in Beseri, Padang Besar, during a routine patrol on Sunday. A 40-year-old man, believed to be a transporter, was arrested at the scene. "The seizure is a significant achievement in our ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking," stated Datuk Muhammad Abdul Halim, Perlis Police Chief, in a press conference. "The suspect has five prior offenses related to various crimes, including drug-related activities." The syabu was reportedly being transported from a neighboring country through a clandestine route before being distributed to other parts of Malaysia. Police are currently investigating the suspect's connections and searching for a second individual believed to be involved in the operation. The suspect is currently under remand until June 7th to assist with the investigation.
