Tan Sri Released from Hospital, MACC to Record Statement in Klang Valley Embezzlement Case
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – A Tan Sri, under investigation for alleged embezzlement of funds in a highway construction project in the Klang Valley, has been released from the hospital. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) confirmed they will soon be taking his statement. MACC Chief Commissioner, Tan Sri Azam Baki, stated, "We will be contacting the Tan Sri involved to obtain a statement in the near future." The investigation centers on the alleged misappropriation of approximately RM143 million. According to an MACC source, 45 witnesses have already provided statements. The Tan Sri’s release from the hospital marks a significant development in this ongoing corruption probe.
