Police allege the boys stole a Ford Ranger from Hope Island the previous night, leading officers on a pursuit that spanned several hours and involved police from both Queensland and New South Wales. "He was standing there, and he just pulled his piece out," said Chris Denmeade, a witness to the arrest. The officer drew his weapon as the teens were apprehended.
