From Birth Injury to NBA Attorney: Landus Anderson's Inspiring Journey
Landus Anderson's inspiring journey began with a diagnosis of Erb's palsy, a birth injury that left doctors doubtful he would ever walk or use his right arm. Yet, Landus defied the odds, excelling in basketball at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. "My mom always instilled in me a positive outlook," Anderson recalls. "She taught me how to tie my shoes with one hand as a child." After a successful college career, Landus pursued his passion for law, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. He then reconnected with attorney Ben Crump, who represented him in a birth injury settlement, and now works as an Assistant General Counsel for the Portland Trail Blazers. Crump expressed his pride, stating, "His life's journey is just amazing." Landus's story is a testament to perseverance and the power of a supportive mother.
