Florida Woman Miraculously Survives as Severe Storm Lifts Her House Off Foundation
Largo, Florida – A 76-year-old Florida woman narrowly escaped serious injury when her house was lifted off its foundation by powerful winds during severe storms that swept across the Southeast and Midwest on June 25, 2025. Surveillance footage, shared by Lori Gill and obtained by ABC News, captured the terrifying moment the white mobile home was violently tossed by the gusts. The dramatic video shows the entire structure rising several feet into the air, swaying precariously as parts of its exterior appear to buckle and tear away. Debris is seen flying through the air as the house is subjected to the intense force of the storm. After several harrowing seconds, the house settles back down onto its damaged foundation. Despite the shocking ordeal, the woman, who was inside the home at the time, was reported to be unharmed. Her daughter confirmed to ABC News that her mother is 'OK,' expressing disbelief at her survival, stating, 'I don't know how she survived.'
