Abuja, Nigeria – A local fashion model, identified as NANA, has shared a cautionary tale of an elaborate scam she recently experienced in Abuja, urging the public to remain vigilant. The incident, which NANA detailed in a recent video, began when she was contacted via WhatsApp by an individual claiming to represent the 'Rufaidah' brand, offering her a modeling opportunity. The scammer stated the original model was unavailable due to a family emergency and an urgent replacement was needed for a shoot scheduled the following day. NANA was directed to various locations, including Life Camp and Karimu, under the pretext of meeting makeup artists and a producer. During her preparation at a mini-studio, while her phone was charging, the perpetrator reportedly stole her device and disappeared. NANA intends to share the scammer's picture in a subsequent video to further warn the community.
