Record Cocaine Bust: 1.5 Tons Seized off Jalisco Coast

Mexican authorities announced a major victory in the fight against drug trafficking with the seizure of 1.5 tons of cocaine off the coast of Jalisco. The operation, carried out on May 29, 2025, involved a coordinated effort between the Navy, the Army (Sedena), the Attorney General's Office, the National Guard, and the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection. The drugs, divided into 38 bundles containing 1,500 packages, were discovered during aerial and maritime patrols.
