Kostanay Region to See Major Infrastructure Upgrades: New Roads and Improved Connectivity Kostanay, Kazakhstan – The Kostanay region is set to undergo significant infrastructure improvements, according to Akim Kumar Aksakalov. In a recent interview, Aksakalov detailed plans for a new road connecting western Kazakhstan to the central region via Irgiz. This project is expected to significantly enhance regional connectivity and facilitate trade. "Such logistical opportunities are opening up for Arkalyk, for the southern regions of our region, for the Amangeldy and Zhanghildinsky districts," Aksakalov stated. Furthermore, Aksakalov announced the completion of a major road corridor this year, linking the south and north of the country and passing through Arkalyk. This project, spanning approximately 125 kilometers, will improve transportation and trade routes throughout the nation. The improvements also include the planned repair of a road section that passes through the Akmola region. This comprehensive upgrade will streamline transportation from southern Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, further bolstering the region's economic prospects.
