Ukrainian Duplex Construction Includes Crucial Bomb Shelter
Construction of bomb shelters in Ukraine gains momentum amidst the ongoing conflict. A recent video posted online showcases the construction of a duplex in a residential area near a lyceum. The builder, Dzjubak Alex, highlights the inclusion of a 60 square meter basement designed to serve as a bomb shelter, emphasizing its importance. "The basement is not just extra space, it's a crucial safety feature," says Alex. The total area of the duplex is 180 square meters, and the project cost is estimated at 140,000. This project exemplifies the growing trend of incorporating bomb shelters into new constructions as Ukrainians adapt to the realities of war. The project's completion will provide safe and comfortable housing for two families, demonstrating resilience and hope amidst challenging circumstances.
