DIY Dream: Local Resident Transforms Balcony into a Vibrant Retreat

Kyiv, Ukraine – A local resident, known as Alina Bekh, has transformed her balcony into a vibrant and cozy space, sharing the impressive DIY journey with her online followers. What once was a simple balcony with beige walls and outdated linoleum has been reimagined with bold colors and a fresh design. Alina meticulously documented the renovation process, starting with the removal of old flooring and a built-in cabinet. She then laid new tiles, preparing the foundation for the new aesthetic. The centerpiece of the transformation is a dresser, which Alina purchased in white and then personally painted a bright yellow, aiming for a "joyful" rather than merely "beautiful" look. The walls were also given a fresh coat of green paint, carefully chosen to avoid a "froggy" hue. "I was thrilled with how similar the color was to what I was looking for and what I had seen in the picture," Alina stated, referring to the yellow paint. Her husband also contributed by ordering and installing black legs for the dresser, complementing the newly painted black handles. The finished balcony now serves as Alina's favorite corner in her apartment, a testament to her hands-on approach and creative vision. The project demonstrates how personal effort can lead to significant and satisfying home improvements.
