Major Changes Coming to Spain's Driving License Theoretical Exam
Madrid, Spain – Significant changes are on the horizon for the theoretical driving license exam in Spain, with new regulations set to be implemented in the coming months. According to Autoescuela Almagro, the traditional 30-question multiple-choice format will undergo a major overhaul. The revised exam will now consist of 20 standard multiple-choice questions and 10 innovative 'video questions'. These new video questions will require candidates to observe and interact with driving scenarios presented on screen, then answer questions based on their interpretation of the footage and appropriate driving conduct. This shift aims to better assess practical understanding and decision-making skills. In addition to the format changes, new European driving regulations, recently approved and published in Spain, will also be incorporated into the theoretical tests. These updated rules are designed to standardize driving practices across European Union member states. The new exam format and regulations are expected to be fully introduced starting in September. Aspiring drivers currently preparing for their theoretical exam are advised to consider taking it before the summer concludes to avoid the updated requirements.
