SOLIGORSK, BELARUS – Amidst recent heavy rainfall that left streets submerged, an unusual rescue unfolded in Soligorsk, showcasing community spirit and ingenuity. A local resident, navigating a heavily flooded street on a paddleboard, discovered a stranded motorist whose black car had stalled in the deep water. The driver, who wished to remain anonymous, stated, "I've been sitting for about 40 minutes, it looks like it got a hydro-impact." Without hesitation, the paddleboarder, joined by another passerby, offered assistance. The duo, with a lighthearted approach, began pushing the submerged vehicle through the floodwaters. One of the rescuers humorously remarked, "Rescuing people in water, we're saving them!" and later added, "At least we'll wash our feet." Their efforts successfully moved the car to a drier section of the road. The grateful driver, stepping out of his vehicle, showed the water that had seeped into the car's interior. He extended his sincere thanks, stating, "Big thanks to you guys." The incident highlights how local residents are stepping up to help each other during challenging weather conditions, turning a difficult situation into a moment of shared camaraderie and humor.
