A recent video shared by content creator AshleighToinette has sparked widespread discussion after she recounted her decision to terminate a client relationship due to racist comments. In the video, Ashleigh explained that during a beauty appointment, her client began making prejudiced remarks about "Blacks coming in and ruining Section 8" housing, associating them with drugs and violence. Ashleigh, who revealed she herself grew up in Section 8 housing, challenged the client's assertions. She stated, "I lived in so and so town, a town filled with mostly white people, and there was meth all up and down that town." She emphasized that issues like drug use and violence are not exclusive to any racial group. Following the appointment, Ashleigh sent a text message to the client, informing her that all future appointments were canceled and would not be rescheduled. The message explicitly stated, "Your racist comment about 'blacks coming in and ruining Section 8' was completely ignorant and not something I will tolerate in any area of my life." Ashleigh also highlighted that her half-Black sister died due to racism, underscoring her personal connection to the issue. After sending the message, Ashleigh immediately blocked the client, stating, "This wasn't about to be a conversation, we weren't going back and forth. I don't give a damn what you have to say." The video has garnered significant attention, with many viewers commending Ashleigh for taking a firm stance against racism.
