Mildura and Swan Hill Police Bust: 20 Arrested in Bikie Gang Crackdown A major police operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs in Mildura and Swan Hill, Victoria, has resulted in 20 arrests and the laying of more than 40 charges. The week-long operation, conducted by the VIPER Taskforce and local crime units between May 12 and 16, led to the seizure of a significant amount of illicit items, including firearms, prohibited weapons, tens of thousands of dollars in cash, and a substantial quantity of drugs such as methamphetamine, cocaine, and cannabis. "This was a significant operation targeting organised crime in the region," stated Sergeant Miller from the VIPER Taskforce (name and title changed for privacy). "The arrests and seizures send a clear message that this type of criminal activity will not be tolerated." Among those arrested were a 30-year-old man found in possession of weapons and cash, and a 60-year-old woman allegedly involved in the trafficking of methamphetamine and cannabis. Charges laid include drug trafficking, firearm and weapons offences, theft, and handling stolen goods. The operation highlights the ongoing commitment of law enforcement to combat outlaw motorcycle gang activity in regional Victoria.
