SARAJEVO – Tragic events unfolded in Sarajevo following a traffic accident that claimed the life of Benjamin Spahović, days after the collision occurred. The incident, which took place in late May, involved Damir Brgulja, who reportedly entered Spahović's lane, causing the fatal crash. CCTV footage of the collision has been released, showing the moment of impact. Following the accident, Brgulja was apprehended by authorities. The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office subsequently proposed measures to ban Brgulja from driving, citing the circumstances of the crash. However, the Court rejected this proposal. An appeal against the Court's decision was lodged, but it too was ultimately dismissed. The case continues to draw public attention due to the tragic loss of life and the legal outcomes.
