A video uploaded by user Jessica Marie Ruxton, known as 'aweebitch,' on August 29, 2025, depicted long lines at what appeared to be passport control or security, accompanied by the caption, 'Love Portugal, hate this airport.' The video, which has garnered over 750 views, also featured a voice-over promoting Jet2 holidays. Ruxton's experience was echoed by several commenters, with one user stating, 'I'm having flashbacks from being there in June. Portugal is great but I can't ever bring myself to go back to that god forsaken place.' Another commenter, however, noted a quicker experience on the same date: 'Took 2 mins 29th August 25 to get through Faro passport control using e gates on arrival.' The contrasting experiences highlight potential variations in queue times or different processing methods available to travelers.
