According to a recent report by IA "Azattyq Ruhy," prices increased by 1.4% in April compared to the previous month and a staggering 9.1% compared to April of the previous year. The most notable increases were seen in mutton and beef, with prices rising by 12%. "In April, the average price of beef with bones was 3000 tenge per kilogram, while mutton cost 3100 tenge per kilogram," reported Yana Mazurenko, the journalist who presented the findings. The price of horse meat averaged 3200 tenge per kilogram, pork 2300 tenge per kilogram, and chicken 1500 tenge per kilogram. The sharpest price increases were observed in West Kazakhstan, Zhambyl regions, and Shymkent. The average price for a whole sheep carcass ranged from 35,000 to 80,000 tenge, which is roughly in line with last year's prices. While the price increases are significant, the report concludes by noting that the situation remains relatively stable compared to previous years.
