Community Rallies to Help 9-Year-Old in Need of Liver Transplant

León, Guanajuato, Mexico – Nine-year-old Diego Gómez faces a life-altering challenge: he needs a liver transplant. His parents, Angélica and Gerardo, are facing the enormous cost of the procedure, estimated at 2 million pesos. "It's hard to say, 'That's all there is,'" Angélica shared, describing the family's struggle. To help, the community organized a kermés, a traditional Mexican fair, to raise funds. Gerardo added, "For us, it's a dream, because we've been fighting for nine years." The event symbolizes the power of community support in overcoming adversity, offering hope for Diego's future.
