Devastating Floods Hit Chalco, Mexico: Residents Face Annual Ordeal

Chalco, Mexico State, residents once again face devastating floods after heavy rainfall. The Culturas de México and Jacalones neighborhoods were particularly hard hit, with over 20 homes inundated. A reporter from TV Azteca Noticias, Daniel de Rosas, captured footage of residents wading through waist-high water, carrying children and household goods to safety. "The water practically came up to their kitchens," Rosas reported. One resident described the situation as a yearly ordeal, losing their refrigerator, stove, and washing machine each time. Authorities are working on constructing a new collector to help prevent future flooding, but for now, residents are left to cope with the damage and the uncertainty of the next storm.
