Teen Falls Prey to Job Scam, Rescued in Guadalajara

A 15-year-old boy from Veracruz, lured by a promise of a high-paying job, found himself stranded and alone in Guadalajara after a 15-hour bus journey. The fraudulent job offer, promising a weekly salary of 4,500 pesos, left him vulnerable and without contact. Fortunately, police in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, found him at the bus station. "He was alone and disoriented," stated Joselyn Aguayo, a police officer from Tlaquepaque, "His phone battery had died, and he couldn't contact the people who were supposed to meet him."
