Life Sentence for Notting Hill Carnival Murder

A 20-year-old man, Shekille Thibou, has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Cher Maximen at the Notting Hill Carnival in London. Maximen, described by her family as "bubbly, vivacious and creative," was fatally stabbed during a fight. The incident occurred in front of her child. "Justice has been served," said Maximen's family, though they expressed that no sentence could truly compensate for their loss. Thibou will serve a minimum of 29 years.
