
Belarus and Zimbabwe Strengthen Ties with Major Healthcare Collaboration
MINSK, Belarus (May 14, 2025) — Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced today that talks with a Zimbabwean delegation had been highly productive, resulting in agreements across various sectors. A key focus was healthcare, with Belarus pledging assistance in building a comprehensive healthcare system for Zimbabwe. This includes the supply of medical equipment and pharmaceuticals. To ensure the effective implementation of these agreements, a joint commission will be established at the highest governmental level. "We are ready to assist Zimbabwe in creating a complex healthcare system," Lukashenko stated, highlighting the importance of this collaboration. The agreements also cover a broad range of other areas, signaling a strengthening of bilateral ties between Belarus and Zimbabwe.
