The investigation, conducted in April and concluded in May 2025, revealed a pattern of negligence and mismanagement. The office's findings included insufficient vaccination of the cattle and the provision of sub-standard feed. "The low level of control by management and the irresponsible attitude of specialists led to the deaths," stated Denis Zhivolovsky, director of the agricultural production facility "Novye Zelenki". This lack of proper care resulted in a significant increase in cattle mortality, exceeding acceptable norms. The investigation led to disciplinary action against eight officials. In one instance, a foreman concealed the extent of the cattle deaths, leading to a criminal investigation and subsequent restitution. Pavel Gordynev, Head of the Department for Supervision of Law Enforcement and Legal Acts of the Minsk Oblast Prosecutor's Office, confirmed that "most violations have been rectified." However, the case underscores the ongoing need for stricter oversight in the agricultural sector. The Prosecutor's Office is committed to improving conditions and reducing similar incidents in the future. The reduction in similar cases by 10% compared to the previous year demonstrates the positive impact of their efforts.
