Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's official visit to Russia entered its second day with a focus on strengthening economic ties. The Prime Minister participated in a roundtable meeting with 24 leading Malaysian companies and representatives from two major trade associations. The meeting, held at the Metropol Hotel in Moscow, aimed to foster collaborations in various sectors, including food production, agriculture, technology, logistics, real estate, and finance. "This visit underscores the importance of expanding our economic partnerships," said a representative from one of the participating Malaysian companies. Several Russian companies also expressed keen interest in exploring new avenues for cooperation. The discussions covered key areas such as palm oil products, furniture manufacturing, the chemical industry, and retail. The meeting marks a significant step toward enhancing bilateral trade and investment between Malaysia and Russia, promising a brighter future for economic cooperation between the two nations.
