Langkawi's LIMA'25 air show, held from May 15-19, 2025, exceeded expectations with a 60% increase in visitor numbers compared to the previous edition. This success is largely attributed to the impressive aerial displays by the Malaysian Armed Forces, featuring participation from international partners like Indonesia and Russia. General Datuk Mohd Nizam Jaafar, Commander of the Malaysian Armed Forces, stated, "The main attraction was certainly focused on the aerobatic performances for the air segment." The event also showcased the capabilities of the Malaysian Navy's PASKAL special forces, further enhancing the overall appeal of the air show. The increased attendance demonstrates the growing international interest in Malaysia's defense capabilities and its strategic partnerships.
