Malaysia strengthens national security with the launch of three new General Operations Force (PGA) battalions. The move, announced by Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, increases the PGA's total number of battalions to 23, bolstering its capacity to maintain peace and security across the nation. Two of the new battalions are stationed in Sabah, in the districts of Kinabatangan and Kunak, while the third is located in Sri Aman, Sarawak. This expansion significantly increases the PGA's manpower, adding over 12,000 personnel to its ranks. The Home Minister emphasized that this action underscores the government's unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation and ensuring public safety. "This step reflects the continuous commitment of the government and the PDRM in guaranteeing the safety of the nation and maintaining public order," he stated. The increased presence of the PGA will undoubtedly contribute to a stronger sense of security and stability for the people of Malaysia.
