According to Sabaruzin Nor Ahmad, the Assistant Director of Operations for the Perak JBPPM, "The car collided with a four-wheeled vehicle, resulting in the deaths of two elderly individuals." The victims, identified as Mohamad Sharif Hashim and Shahruudin Aman, both 73, were from Felda Gunung Besut, Sungai. Four Sri Lankan men in the four-wheeled vehicle sustained minor injuries.
