RM11 Billion Boost for Malaysian National Defence

Malaysia's Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) announced a significant RM11 billion allocation to bolster national defense capabilities. The announcement, made during the LIMA'25 Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition, outlines plans to acquire strategic assets for land, maritime, air, and cyber security, as well as improve the welfare of the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM). Footage from the event shows the contract and MoU signing ceremony. Defense Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Khaled Nordin stated, "The allocation is divided into five key areas: acquisition of strategic assets for land, maritime, air, cyber security, and ATM welfare." This significant investment underscores Malaysia's commitment to strengthening its national security posture. The contracts signed represent a step towards modernizing the nation's defense capabilities and ensuring the safety and security of its citizens.
