Malaysia Highlights 5G Progress and Cybersecurity at Tokyo Summit Malaysia showcased its 5G rollout strategy and emphasized the importance of cybersecurity at the recent Asia-Pacific Telecommunity Ministers Meeting held in Tokyo. Minister of Communications, Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, led the Malaysian delegation. He highlighted the achievements of Malaysia's Jendela program, a national initiative to improve digital infrastructure. "The Jendela program has been instrumental in expanding our 5G network and improving connectivity across the country," Minister Fadzil stated. However, the minister also stressed the growing need for enhanced cybersecurity measures. "We must be vigilant against online threats such as fraud and cybercrime, which are becoming increasingly sophisticated," he added. Malaysia's participation in the Tokyo summit underscores its commitment to international collaboration in the telecommunications sector.
