Malaysian Youth Embrace TVET: A Promising Future for Skilled Workforce
Malaysia witnesses a surge in youth interest in TVET. The Technical and Vocational Education and Training sector in Malaysia is experiencing a significant upswing in popularity, particularly among young people. According to a recent report by Berita RTM, the number of students enrolling in TVET institutions has increased dramatically. This positive trend reflects a changing perception of TVET, which is no longer viewed as a second-rate option. "The government is committed to supporting the private sector in various engineering fields," stated Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister. The increase in TVET enrollment is attributed to a combination of factors, including government initiatives and a growing recognition of the importance of technical skills in the job market. This shift towards TVET signifies a promising development for Malaysia's future workforce and economic growth.
