The Technical and Vocational Education and Training sector in Malaysia is experiencing a significant upswing in popularity, particularly among young people. According to a recent report by Berita RTM, the number of students enrolling in TVET institutions has increased dramatically. This positive trend reflects a changing perception of TVET, which is no longer viewed as a second-rate option. "The government is committed to supporting the private sector in various engineering fields," stated Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister.
