Minority Caucus Marches to Police HQ, Demands Probe into Undeclared Parliamentary Seat
Accra, Ghana – June 4, 2025 – Members of Ghana’s minority caucus staged a protest march to the Police Headquarters today, demanding an investigation into allegations of an undeclared parliamentary seat in the north during the 2024 General Elections. The march, which involved several dozen people, was filmed and shared on social media. One participant stated, "We are here to petition the IGP to ensure justice and transparency in the electoral process." The minority caucus expressed serious concerns about the integrity of the election results and the potential disenfranchisement of voters. The IGP has yet to respond to the petition. The peaceful protest highlights the importance of transparency and accountability in Ghana's democratic process.
