Minister Mali Declares EXPO 2027 a National Endeavor for Serbia's Future
BELGRADE, Serbia – Serbian Finance Minister Siniša Mali delivered a powerful address at the opening of the EXPO 2027 Playground Zone, emphasizing the nationwide significance of the upcoming international exhibition. Minister Mali stated, "EXPO is all of Serbia," underscoring that the event's impact will extend far beyond Belgrade. During his speech, Mali highlighted the government's commitment to national development, referencing ongoing and planned infrastructure projects. "Every new bridge, every highway, every road, every fast lane, every new school, every new hospital that we build and open in our Serbia by 2027 – all of that is part of EXPO," he declared. He further stressed the importance of improving citizens' living standards through increased salaries, pensions, and minimum wages. Mali concluded his address by calling for national unity. "EXPO gives us a chance to show that we are capable, that we are united, and that no one can divide us, even though, as you see, many wish to divide the citizens of Serbia. We will not allow that," he asserted. He expressed confidence that by 2027, Serbia will be a "center of the world" and leave a better and more beautiful Serbia for future generations.
