The "Credencial Canina," a special passport for dogs, has been introduced by the APACA Association (Asociación Protectora de Animais do Camiño) to enable pets to track their journey alongside their owners. Similar to the traditional pilgrim's credential, the "Credencial Canina" serves as a document for collecting stamps at various points along the Camino route, marking each completed stage. Upon successful completion of the pilgrimage with a fully stamped credential, dogs are eligible to receive their own "Compostela Canina," a unique certificate acknowledging their participation. The "Credencial Canina" can be acquired online through identificatumascota.com, where pilgrims also have the option to personalize a Camino-themed dog tag or purchase a package deal.
