Romanian Students Announce Nationwide Protests Over Scholarship System Changes

Student organizations across Romania have announced a series of protests scheduled for 10:00 AM, following recent government decisions regarding the scholarship system. The protests are set to take place in major cities including Bucharest (in front of the Government building), Cluj-Napoca (at the Monumentul Memorandistilor), Timișoara (in front of the Prefecture), Alba-Iulia (at the Obeliscul Horea, Cloșca și Crișan), Iași (at Piața Unirii), Baia Mare (in front of the Palace of Justice), and Suceava (in front of building A, USV). The demonstrations come in response to the government's calculation that scholarships are a burden on the budget, leading to changes in the system. Students are urged to mobilize and express their discontent with the new policies.
