The apartment has been re-sealed. Tenants can choose to rent it as is or invest in repairs, which will be deducted from the rent. "In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 38," Mikholap stated, "there is an estimated cost for repairs that can be offset against the rent." One Bobruisk resident, Svetlana Nikitina, shared her experience renting a similar apartment. "When we collected the documents, we received an estimate of what needed to be done. There was no bathtub or gas stove, so we had to buy them. The Gorispolkom reimbursed us for these expenses."
