A recent video shared by a local individual, known online as "Bold Treasures," has brought attention to the practice of dumpster diving, specifically behind a Walgreens store in the United States. The video, uploaded on June 20, 2025, shows the individual retrieving a substantial quantity of packaged food items and various consumer goods from a large Waste Management dumpster.Among the items recovered were multiple boxes of "Original Sliders," "Pop-Tarts Crunchy Poppers," "BelVita Breakfast Crunchy" biscuits, and numerous protein and snack bars from brands like "LaraBar" and "KIND." Large bags of popular chocolates such as "M&M's," "Hershey's Nuggets," "Kinder Chocolate Mini," "Reese's Peanut Butter Cups Thins," and "Baby Ruth Fun Size" were also visible. Beyond food, the haul included "Stasher" reusable silicone storage bags, a "Walgreens Indoor/Outdoor Allergy Test" kit, "DonJoy Performance" wrist and knee braces, a "GE soft white Indoor Floodlight" bulb, and "Sagely Naturals CBD Cream."The video creator stated their motivation as "saving stuff from going to the landfills," highlighting a growing movement focused on reducing waste. This incident raises questions about retail waste practices and the potential for perfectly usable items to be discarded.
