Paige DeSorbo Reveals She Left ‘Summer House’ After Realizing She Couldn’t “Phy…
“It’s not my vibe anymore.”
Paige DeSorbo, known for her role on Bravo's "Summer House," recently opened up about her departure from the show and her plans for the future in a new podcast episode. In a sneak peek of the interview, DeSorbo shared her personal reasons for stepping back from the reality series. "I felt different leaving last summer," DeSorbo stated, describing a "gut feeling" that it would be her last time in the house. She elaborated on the demanding schedule, explaining, "I really just had a moment where I was like, 'Wait a minute, I can't go film a TV show, like I'll literally die.'" DeSorbo emphasized that her decision was deeply personal, overriding any professional considerations related to the show. "I've worked so much this year, like I don't want to go out on a Friday and Saturday night anymore. It's not my vibe anymore." She also expressed a desire to make way for new talent. "I was taking a spot from a younger girl who should have the same opportunity I had when I was 25 and she should run with it." When asked about potential future television projects, including a spin-off with castmates Amanda and Ciara, DeSorbo remained open but cautious. "I would never say never because I love being on TV, I love production, I love the entertainment industry in that sense of like filming something, editing it, watching it come out, like that is very fun for me." However, she clarified her current stance: "As of right now, I think I've been out of reality TV for like two seconds and I'm enjoying it. So, I wouldn't say that I would be going back or filming a similar show where there's like an ensemble cast, it dives into your life, anytime soon. I kind of feel like I need a little bit of a break." She concluded that while a new opportunity might arise in the next two years, she doesn't currently see herself returning to that specific format.
