Despite his Queensland allegiance, Wright's analysis leans towards a victory for New South Wales. Wright believes the Queensland Maroons will show an improved performance compared to Game 1, attributing this to the inclusion of Tom Dearden, who is expected to bring a more direct style of play. "I think they'll go better than in Game 1," Wright stated, adding, "I think Tom Dearden will bring a much more direct style of play to the game, which they were sort of missing in Game 1." However, when pressed for a winner, Wright's logical assessment points to the Blues. He predicts Liam Martin will score the first try of the match.
