Military Lawyer Explains Wanted List Status and Legal Recourse in Ukraine
A Ukrainian military lawyer has shed light on the legal intricacies surrounding individuals placed on a wanted list by the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TCC) for an extended period. The legal expert, known online as 'brunette_in_court', addressed a frequently asked question regarding the popular belief that a three-month period on the wanted list automatically leads to its cancellation. She clarified that this three-month timeframe typically pertains to the statute of limitations for administrative responsibility, rather than an automatic removal from the wanted status itself. "If you've heard about three months, it's likely in reference to the period for administrative liability, not the search itself," the lawyer stated. "To resolve this, individuals must personally visit the TCC or send a legal representative to formally request the closure of the administrative case." The lawyer further explained that digital platforms, such as 'Reserve Plus', are generally insufficient for this purpose. She advised that direct engagement and, if necessary, legal action through the courts with an attorney, may be required to compel the TCC to officially lift the wanted status. This information is particularly pertinent for Ukrainian citizens navigating military registration and mobilization regulations.
