Hellfest Kids: Where Young Rockers Find Their Roar
GÉTIGNÉ, FRANCE – The spirit of rock and metal is alive and well among the youngest generation, thanks to Hellfest Kids, a unique event held in collaboration with the Gétigné town hall. Designed as a family-friendly extension of the renowned Hellfest Open Air festival, Hellfest Kids offers children a vibrant introduction to the world of heavy music and festival culture. Attendees at Hellfest Kids are treated to a variety of engaging activities. Young aspiring musicians can participate in the "Rock Star Experience," taking to the stage to play instruments alongside performers in fun dinosaur costumes. The event also features an outdoor obstacle course, providing a physical challenge for energetic youngsters, and a temporary tattoo station where children can adorn themselves with rock-themed designs. An organizer explained that the event is specifically tailored for local families and children from the community of communes, who receive free invitations to attend. This initiative aims to make the metal festival experience accessible and enjoyable for all ages, fostering a love for music and a sense of community from an early age. One young participant, with spiked, dyed hair, enthusiastically declared, "Salut Brut, je vais devenir une rockstar, regardez ça!" (Hello Brut, I'm going to become a rockstar, look at this!). Another child added, "It's cool for young people to discover rock, metal." The event successfully combines the excitement of a music festival with child-friendly entertainment, creating a memorable experience for families.
