Keep spiders out of home with two-ingredient spray that 'actually works'
It's still spider mating season, but that doesn't mean you have to just put up with eight-legged creatures coming into your home.
A popular home hacks creator, Carolina Mccauley, recently shared a do-it-yourself spider repellent spray that relies on just two ingredients: water and peppermint essential oil. The method, detailed in her latest video, involves combining 2 cups of water with 30 drops of peppermint oil in a spray bottle. Mccauley demonstrated applying the mixture to various areas of a home, including baseboards, window frames, doorways, corners, and behind furniture, asserting its effectiveness in deterring spiders. "No chemicals, no weird smells… just peppermint oil and water to keep spiders far away," Mccauley stated in her video description. She also noted that the natural spray is effective against other insects like ants and flies, offering a chemical-free solution for pest control while leaving a fresh scent.
