Grad's Good Deed Earns Him \$200,000
On his graduation night, Mykale Baker, an 18-year-old from Dacula, Georgia, decided to help his colleagues at Burger King, who were swamped with orders. He wasn't even scheduled to work that night, but he put on his uniform and started helping. A customer, Maria Mendoza, witnessed this and was so impressed by his selfless act that she posted a video online. Mendoza said, "There's not a lot of people who are like that." The video went viral, and Mendoza started a crowdfunding campaign to reward Mykale for his integrity and dedication. The campaign raised over \$200,000, which Mykale plans to use to attend trade school and open his own auto repair shop. His mother, Demeshia, expressed her pride, stating, "I'm so proud of you. Because you never know when someone is watching."
