Dominican Innova Fair Showcases Technological and Cultural Innovation

The III Dominican Innova University Innovation Fair, held May 29th, 2025 at the Universidad Tecnológica del Cibao Oriental (UTECO) in the Dominican Republic, successfully brought together academics, students, and industry leaders. The event, supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and the government's innovation cabinet, showcased a wide range of technological, cultural, and educational projects. One participant, Ramón Alburquerque, emphasized the importance of the Ministry of Education's continued involvement in supporting innovation, stating, "A ministry that, in my opinion, should not disappear, because if the Ministry of Mining, the Ministry of Primary, Basic, and Pre-University Education has not been able to raise the level of its field of concern, how can it then be added more ESIRD so that it suffers another degradation? I believe that this well-intentioned attempt at reform must be rectified." The fair highlighted the vibrant innovation ecosystem in the Dominican Republic and the collaborative efforts to drive scientific and technological advancement.
