Abinader Launches "Más Salud" Initiative, Addresses School Completion Plea
President Abinader's visit to Santo Domingo Este marked the start of the fourth phase of the government's health initiative, "Más Salud." The event, held on May 30th, 2025, provided free medical services to the community. However, the visit also highlighted a community need. The priest of the San Vicente de Paúl parish used the opportunity to request the president's intervention in completing the construction of the local school. "We have over 2,500 students waiting for this school to be finished," he stated. The initiative, launched in February, has already impacted 13,614 people. The health minister emphasized the importance of the high-cost program and the expansion of essential medications, including those for mental health and cancer. This event showcases the government's commitment to community well-being and addresses both healthcare and educational needs.
