Dominican Republic Tackles Waste Problem with New Transfer Station

Tamboril, Dominican Republic, inaugurates a new waste transfer station, ending decades of environmental concerns. The RD$60 million project, spearheaded by Fideicomiso DO Sostenible, replaces an open-air dump that posed significant health and environmental risks to the community. The new facility is designed to process up to 80 tons of solid urban waste daily, significantly improving waste management and public health in the region.
