Dominican Foundation Hosts Inclusive Event for Children with Cerebral Palsy

Dominican Republic to Hold Event for Children with Cerebral Palsy Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – A heartwarming initiative is underway in the Dominican Republic to promote the inclusion of children with cerebral palsy. The "Ángeles sobre Ruedas" event, organized by the Nido para Ángeles foundation, will take place at Parque Iberoamericano on June 8th, starting at 8:30 am. Monika Despradel, president of Nido para Ángeles, shared details about the event in an interview with CDN Canal 37. She highlighted the challenges faced by families of children with cerebral palsy, stating, "When a child like this arrives in your life, it turns your world upside down." The event aims to provide a fun, inclusive environment for these children and their families, with activities designed to foster interaction and understanding. Despradel also emphasized the foundation's comprehensive approach, providing medical evaluations, various therapies, and social work support. "Nido para Ángeles offers aquatic therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and language therapy," she explained. The foundation also collaborates with the Ministry of Education to provide adapted curriculums for children with cerebral palsy. The "Ángeles sobre Ruedas" event is a testament to the community's commitment to inclusion. By bringing together children with cerebral palsy and their families in a joyful setting, the event promotes understanding and acceptance, showing that everyone deserves a place in society.
