Singapore Police Investigate Bukit Timah Home Invasion: S$684,800 Stolen On May 9, 2025, a semi-detached house along Dunearn Close in Bukit Timah, Singapore was burglarized. The thieves made off with a substantial amount of cash and valuables, totaling S$684,800. Three foreign nationals were subsequently arrested in connection with the crime. On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, two of the suspects, identified as Mexican Garcia Iglesias Hector Daniel (51) and Mexican-Colombian Garces Murillo Mateo Andres (48), were escorted by police back to the scene of the crime. They were accompanied by a Spanish translator. A police spokesperson stated, "The suspects were brought back to the scene to assist with the investigation." The third suspect, Spanish-Colombian Hernando Giraldo Franco (60), was taken to a separate location. The swift apprehension of the suspects within 27 hours of the first reported incident highlights the effectiveness of the Singapore Police Force's investigative capabilities. The recovered items included a significant amount of cash, jewelry, and tools allegedly used in the burglary. The investigation is ongoing.
