Moldova's Agricultural Legislation Under Scrutiny in Brussels A joint working group comprising representatives from Moldova's Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and the European Commission has commenced a review of Moldovan legislation concerning agriculture, rural development, fisheries, and aquaculture. The review, taking place in Brussels, aims to assess Moldova's progress in aligning its regulations with EU standards. The process is crucial for Moldova's ongoing efforts to integrate with the European Union. Inna Butucel, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, stated, "In this chapter, the Republic of Moldova has made firm commitments related to the need to ensure the sustainable management of aquatic resources, strengthen food security, and stimulate the economic development of rural communities." The review includes an evaluation of Moldova's institutional and administrative capacities in implementing EU acquis. The European Commission's findings will be instrumental in guiding Moldova's future legislative and regulatory adjustments.
