
EU Bolsters Moldova's Employment Services with Generous Aid Package
Moldova Receives EU Aid to Boost Employment Services Chisinau, Moldova – The National Employment Agency (ANOFM) received a substantial donation from the European Union today, bolstering its capacity to serve citizens. The aid package included three modern vehicles, ten sets of IT equipment, and office furniture for ten ANOFM territorial subdivisions. The total value of the donation exceeds 1.3 million Moldovan lei. The handover ceremony was attended by high-profile figures, including Roxana Mânzatu, the EU Vice-President for Social Rights and Skills, and Moldovan ministers Alexei Buzu and Dan Perciun. Minister Buzu emphasized the EU's consistent support for key labor and social protection reforms in Moldova, highlighting the positive impact on citizens, particularly the most vulnerable. He stated, "The European Union has financed several programs that have supported key reforms in the field of labor and social protection." The new vehicles will improve ANOFM's reach in regions like Glodeni, Drochia, and Făleşti, while the IT equipment and furniture will upgrade offices in Cahul, Cantemir, and other areas. This donation represents a significant step in improving employment services across Moldova, demonstrating the strong partnership between the EU and Moldova.
